The 18-hole golf course Bogliaco is located in a picturesque valley elevated 100mts above Lake Garda.This is the third oldest golf course in Italy and it has got quite a story to tell: Founded by the Beretta family (the well-known weapons producer) as a short, but very demanding, 9-hole course for the tourists to enjoy while visiting Lake Garda at the beginning of the 20th century.

It was repurposed as an airplane runway by Mussolini, then used as a baseball field for the American garrison, until it finally returned into its original definition as the Golf Club Bogliaco in the 50ies. Since approximately 10 years there are even 18 beautiful holes awaiting the golfer. The elevated position permits a broad view of Lake Garda – especially famous is the tee-shot on hole no. 5 – a beautiful par 3 with a fantastic view of Lake Garda and a signature hole for the Lake Garda golf region. Golf as a precision sport is compulsory at the Bogliaco Golf Resort. It is true that the trimmed fairways are not that long, however they must be played with great precision.
